Meet the Masters
A one-hour class exploring and introducing fine art techniques. Whether you’re a seasoned painter in acrylics or watercolor or new to painting in general, you’ll find oil painting to be a fun and unique way to bring your drawings to life! Recommended for ages 6+. Museum admission plus $6 material fee.
September 19th: Frida Kahlo Portraits- Create vibrant and colorful self portraits just like Frida Kahlo- even including a portrait of your pet or favorite animal!
October 24th: Mini Mark Rothko Masterpieces: Experience the world of Mark Rothko by learning about his aspects of design: color, space, luminosity and darkness. Join us as we put o: ur heads together to create something pretty amazing!
November 14th: Eye Spy Art: Mike Kelley Inspired Design: Every play eye spy with a piece of artwork? Mike Kelly’s art transforms larger than life canvases using everyday objects that will have you hunting for treasures. Join us as we create our own mini designs using found objects!
December 5th: Henri Matisse Stockings: Do you like bright colors, fun patterns and the holidays?? For this project, we will learn about the famous free-form artists, Henri Matisee and create stockings using shapes, patterns and textures.
