      1st Annual Capital Area Pain Conference

      Continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours will be provided at the 2020 Capital Area Opioid & Pain Conference, but the amount has not yet been determined. Once the conference agenda and speakers have been finalized and confirmed, CNE contact hours will be determined. Additionally, we are inviting our Social Work CE colleagues to jointly provide this conference and will likely have continuing education contact hours for social work as well. The brochure outlining the conference agenda and CE details will be available later this fall. 2020 Capital Area Opioid & Pain Conference "Opioids: Engaging Our Community in the New Reality" At the 2020 Capital Area Opioid & Pain Conference, healthcare providers, legal professionals and service providers in law enforcement, social service, health plans, and community groups will work together to change the narrative in the opioid crisis. Conference topics include: Current Reality: How Did We Get Here, Health Inequities Current Health Issues and Services Related to Pain: Opioid Prescribing & Alternatives; Behavioral Health Issues & Services; Health Plan Coverage/Authorization Best Practices: Prevention, Treatment, & Recovery Programs Solutions: Legal; Healthcare; Behavioral Health Partnering Opportunities Call to Action: The New Reality Interactive sessions are designed to facilitate the transfer of knowledge to action in your practice or clinical environment. We hope you join us! Join colleagues at the 2020 Capital Area Opioid & Pain Conference in our current opioid crisis environment and learn practical strategies from recognized experts and providers to create a call to action and change the narrative of this public health concern in our community. FAQs What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? A parking Lot Ramp is connected to the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center - parking vouchers will be provided to all conference attendees on the day of the conference, Tuesday, February 4, 2020. Kellogg Center Parking Lot location is 219 S Harrison Rd, East Lansing, MI, 48823.  What will I receive my invoice?Upon request - invoices will be processed and emailed out every Friday. What can I bring into the event? Speaker PPT presentations (printed copies will not be provided on the day of the conference). How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Direct all conference-related questions, including refund requests to con.nurse.ce@msu.edu. Please include the registration number and all necessary information regarding your inquiry. What's the refund policy? A $25 service fee will be retained on all refunds. No refunds will be available after Saturday, January 4, 2020. To ask for a refund, email con.nurse.ce@msu.edu, with your request, please include your registration/ticket number. The capacity for registration is 400. After capacity is reached, registration will be suspended. This is a popular conference, accepting registration on a first-come, first-served basis. Please register early to ensure your seat. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No. Registration lists will be onsite to confirm registrations.  Can I update my registration information? Yes. An alternative person can attend at no additional cost. Email all necessary information to con.nurse.ce@msu.edu, including the original registration number and name of the person replacing (if it is a group registration). There is also a refund policy with a $25 service fee, available until Saturday, January 4, 2020. Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Yes. Registration fee or ticket is transferrable to an alternative person for the same event, the 1st Annual Capital Area Pain Conference on Tuesday, February 4, 2020. Email all necessary information to con.nurse.ce@msu.edu, including the original registration number and name of the person replacing (if it is a group registration). There is also a refund policy with a $25 service fee, available until Saturday, January 4, 2020.  Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? Yes. An alternative person can attend in someone else's place.
