      Illuminate Series

A staged reading of a play by Hanoch Levin
      Directed by Moshe Perlstein

A powerful story told in a beautiful, poetic way, The Child Dreams takes us on a journey of refugees who show how deep is their capacity for love and sacrifice. Hanoch Levin, one of Israel’s most important playwrights, illustrates humankind’s inhumanity yet offers an anthem to mercy and even hope in The Child Dreams. This reading is a culmination of a ten-day residency by five Israeli theatre artists on the campus of MSU.

Sponsored by April Clobes & Glen Brough; Jack & Susan Davis with additional support from the Michael and Elaine Serling Institute for Jewish Studies and Modern Israel; MSU College of Arts and Letters; MSU Department of Theatre; and University Outreach and Engagement.
