      Indonesian Cuisine - Guest Chefs Kimi & Anthony Abdullah - Adult Cooking Class

      This fall, each month we will host a local Guest Chef who will share their knowledge and skills of their cooking traditions in a hands-on and interactive class. Come explore new spices, flavours and techniques with Chefs from London's talented and diverse culinary community! Classes are $75 and include professional instruction and dinner; and are geared to 19+ crowd as they are licenced events with a cash bar. All proceeds from any / all of our fundraising events go towards funding our food education programs. Learn how these funds will help: http://growingchefsontario.ca/help-us-grow.  PLEASE NOTE: Due to the overwhelming demand for our classes, we have decided to release September - December all at once!  NEXT CLASS: DATE: Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019 THEME: Indonesian Cuisine with Guest Chefs Kimi & Anthony Abdullah of Petojo Food & Catering. They founded Petojo Food & Catering in 2015 to introduce Indonesian food and cooking to Canadian plates and palates. Many of their foods come from family recipes, while some are inspired by their childhood vacations to Indonesia. What makes their food unique is the fusion of traditional Indonesian dishes, high quality imported ingredients and local Ontario produce. WHAT TO EXPECT: These fundraising classes are for adults!! Prepare to receive real hands-on experience with our amazing Guest Chef along with our Growing Chefs! team and learn some great new recipes along the way! Each class will include professional instruction, tips, tricks and a sit-down meal to follow; prepared entirely by YOU (with a little help!). AGES: 19+ CHEF: Chefs Kimi & Anthony Abdullah MENU: Our menu will incorporate the freshest of local ingredients. DIETARY FLAGS: If you have ANY dietary restrictions or allergies PLEASE contact us in advance of the event so that we may accommodate appropriately. REGISTRATION: First come, first served. Note: Act fast, as we limit each class to 16 participants and we sell out quickly! WHAT TO BRING: Hair tie for long hair and comfortable closed-toed shoes; we will provide you with an apron while you work! MORE INFORMATION: A cash bar will be available. Washrooms are located on the second floor (only accessible by stairs.) We accept cash and credit (no debit). CANCELLATION: Refunds available 1 week in advance only.
