      Explore some of the ways you can use data in your humanities research.

      During this virtual workshop, you’ll learn some basics of data curation and management while becoming familiar with many of the issues raised with data usage in general and when specifically tailored to humanities datasets.

      You’ll also get hands-on practice with OpenRefine, an open source desktop application for data cleanup and transformation. While no prior knowledge of the platform is required, those who register to attend should have OpenRefine installed and ready to use during the workshop.

      This workshop is open to the public, and co-sponsored by the Graduate College. It will be led by Paige Morgan, digital publishing and copyright librarian, and Michael Stewart, metadata librarian.
