      Dr. Hi Pearson, UAS Associate Professor of Marine Biology will present her experience as a Fullbright Scholar to Norway.  The goal of her project was to connect  Arctic regions through blue carbon science, communication, and policy.  Blue carbon refers to the natural mechanisms through which the marine environment can store carbon. There is increasing global recognition of blue carbon as a potential strategy for climate change mitigation.  "Making Science Matter: Communicating 'Blue Carbon' Science.  Lectures are free and open to the public.  Lectures will be recorded and available on YouTube on the UAS Channel at: www.youtube.com/UASoutheast www.uas.alaska.edu/eganlecture
