Vox Borealis - First Friday at the APK

Vox Borealis performs traditional and contemporary Holiday favorites at the Alaska State Museum in the beautiful atrium during the December First Friday Gallery Walk. 4:30pm-7:00pm. Free to the public.

Vox Borealis is a vocal chamber ensemble led by Juneau Lyric Opera's Executive Director, Sara Radke Brown, that emerged from An Afternoon of Ave Marias at the Shrine of St. Thérèse.
After four successful years of Aves, several members of the chorus proposed making it a year-round ensemble. The ensemble features mostly a cappella works spanning from antiquity to present day.

Vox Borealis is an auditioned chamber ensemble for singers that possess solo and ensemble experience, strong sight-reading skills, and a desire to sing at the highest level of vocal ensemble performance. The current roster consists of 20 Juneau voices, but the size and demographic of the roster fluctuates depending on programming. If you’re interested in auditioning for Vox Borealis, please email director@juneauopera.org.
