      Youth Activity: Metal Engraving

Join Charlie Skultka Jr. to make your own aluminum cuff! Participants will start with a fat bracelet blank with a black coating, use engraving tools to scratch their designs, and then form the bracelets to ft. Both sessions are open to youth ages 6-18, but younger kids are encouraged to bring a helpful adult. Space is limited and pre-registration is highly recommended. Call the Museum at 465-2901 to secure your spot. Charlie Skultka Jr. is an arts and culture educator from Sitka and 2018 winner of the Governor’s Arts and Humanities Margaret Nick Cooke Award for Alaska Native Arts and Languages. This program is partially funded by the citizens of the City and Borough of Juneau through sales tax revenues and is sponsored by the Friends of the Alaska State Library, Archives, and Museum. Free, but registration is highly recommended. lam.alaska.gov/youthart
