      MORE INFO ABOUT Dana Erlandson

      Bio

Wisconsin singer/songwriter and Green Bay native, Dana Erlandson, is an accomplished musician/producer who has recorded nine solo albums, Pontiac Stew (1989), A Postcard Dream(1993), Train of Love(1998), Two Become One(2002), Fixing A Bridge(2005), Radio Motel(2006), Christmas Time(2006), Coming Home(2011) and AMERICANA(2016).

Dana began his mark on the Green Bay music scene in the 70's singing, playing bass, and keys with the rock band "GLASS". The 80's saw Dana and music partner Don Berg as the acoustic/rock duo "Two Way Street" culminating with an opening act spot for acoustic legends America. Two Way Street disbanded in 1989 and Dana continued into the 90's as a solo act. This creative period spawned multiple solo albums and concert appearances with Jerry Jeff Walker, Leo Kottke, Brewer and Shipley, Steve Forbert, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and more. He has even shared the stage with the late John Hartford and the legendary grandfather of bluegrass, Bill Monroe. Many of Dana’s songs have received radio airplay, including his appearances on Wisconsin Public Radio programs "Higher Ground" and "Live from Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqua".

The new millennium found Dana returning to his rock and roll roots with Green Bay's premier classic rock band, "the DOWGS". Music fans of Northeast Wisconsin not only found the DOWGS at many of the areas favorite night spots, but also on disc with the release of their studio recording (New Tricks) and a live C.D. (Live at the Rockaway Café). The DOWGS also made the rounds of the festival scene at Celebrate De Pere, Bayfest on the UW Green Bay campus, and Milwaukee's Summerfest .

The music goes full circle as Dana brings his acoustic music to the concert stage with shows that have included opening for Al Stewart, David Lindley, James McMurtry, David Bromberg, and Woodstock era icon, Melanie at Milwaukee's Shank Hall. Opening shows for The BoDeans, Todd Snider , Greg Trooper, Tanya Tucker, and Mark Stuart & Stacey Earle in the Green Bay area, an intimate evening of music at the Cedarburg Cultural Center with folk artist Lucy Kaplansky, and a return visit with The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band to the Grand Opera House in Oshkosh, WI.

Other concert dates included shows with singer/songwriters John Hiatt and Nanci Griffith at the historic Barrymore Theatre in Madison, WI. opening for and playing with Richie Furay in Milwaukee and Madison, WI., and two years in a row performing at the Steel Bridge Songfest in Sturgeon Bay, WI. with Pat MacDonald and songwriting legend Jackson Browne.

As always...there is more to come.................
