      Southampton Writers Conference

      The 45th annual Southampton Writers Conference will be held from July 8 to July 19, 2020 at the Stony Brook Southampton campus in Southampton, NY, located on the Atlantic coast 90 miles east of New York City. The conference features workshops in poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, speculative fiction, and TV writing, as well as readings, lectures, and consultations with agents.
      The 2020 faculty includes: poets Billy Collins and Camille Rankine; fiction writers Jami Attenberg, Paul Harding, and Frederic Tuten; creative nonfiction writers Melissa Bank, Matthew Klam, T Kira Madden, and Roger Rosenblatt; speculative writer Karen Thompson Walker; and TV writer Alan Kingsberg. Other 2020 guests include: Kathy Engel, Liana Finck, Bruce Holsinger, Jynne Dilling Martin, Caitlin Mullen, Jessica Soffer, Emily Temple, Sarai Walker, and more.
      Submit up to 10 pages of poetry or 10 to 20 pages of prose by April 15; there is no application fee. Scholarships are available (deadline March 15). Lodging in campus dormitories is available for approximately $65 per night for a shared room or $74 per night for a private room. Visit the website for more information.

      Cost: Payment required - The 2020 conference costs: five-day session is $1,495; the cost of a twelve-day session is $1,995. Tuition includes workshop and access to all conference events.
