      Urban CNY 30th Anniversary Reception ‘Thoughts of A Colored Man’ at Syracuse Stage

      You are invited to attend an Urban CNY Reception prior the September 21st performance of ‘Thoughts of A Colored Man’ at Syracuse Stage.   Preceding the September 21st showing of the World Premiere production of Thoughts of a Colored Man Join Cora Thomas’ Miss Mary Philanthropy Day and Ken Jackson & to Celebrate 30 Years of Urban CNY/The Constitution with a special reception.  Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh is scheduled to participate in the event. The program will celebrate 30 years covering the Syracuse area and is now one of the longest running African American owned news operations in Syracuse history. We are also saluting those African American men who’ve made immeasurable contributions to communications and media in Central New York. Recognizing Minority Men of CNY in Media Event (Sold Out 9/17/19) As a salute to Black Men in Media in Central New York, Urban CNY will recognize the following for their contributions to media in the Syracuse area. Kilpatrick Joe Lee Reggie SeiglerQuindell WilliamsRoosevelt “Rick” WrightCharles Anderson The event will include a brief program, light refreshments and an appreciative moment for the honoree to discuss his “Thoughts” as we prepare to attend the Cold Read of this new play by Keenan Scott II, who has been described as a “Bold New Voice”. Tickets are $30 and it includes the reception and show. Theater seating will be assigned with reservation.
