      Inclusivity Day

Inclusivity Day's going to be poignant, and it's also free! It's our promise to bring you the most personal touches from our speakers who are deeply involved in LGBT2SQ+ activism. Two speakers from UWinnipeg and Rainbow Resource Center will, in turn, take their time to voice their own stories of being LGBT2SQ+: from being ridiculed of having a small penis and racially profiled due to being an Asian, and being underappreciated and looked down upon because of one's body type, to being denied healthcare because one's a lesbian. We certainly have come a long way in gathering acceptance of our sexuality, yet some are being outcasted in the same queer community they identify with.

Through Inclusivity Day, we hope to make it clear that people should not suffer from what they cannot change.

Therefore, by joining Inclusivity Day, you're helping to spread awareness on different intersections of identities and how they interact with one another, and in what significant way they can influent one's life.

In addition to the these heavy topics, we also present you some light music from our talented musicians from UWinnipeg, mostly piano and vocal performances.

      An overview of our timeline:

10AM - 10.20AM: "We can't change our Race" by Bang Tran, Founder of Inclusivity Day. A discussion of 'Racial preferences' in the modern age.

      10.20AM - 10.30AM: A Piano Performance.

10.30AM - 10.45AM: "The Porcupine" by Ellie Caslake, a strong trans woman who gives us her take on how systems of oppression and discrimination affect 2SLGBTQ+ individuals. Topics centered on negative coping mechanisms including drug & alcohol abuse, social isolation and self-harm are discussed.

      10.45AM - 10.55AM: "Mariage d'Amour" by Bang.

10.55AM - 11.00AM: A vocal performance by Kat Sengmany, a youthful and talented woman.

11.00AM - 11.15AM: An Inclusivity workshop designed by Levi, an inspiring Program Coordinator at Sunshine House. We hope to bring you touches of laughter!

11.15AM - 11.30AM: A Vocal and Guitar Performance by Thomas Steur, an ambitious and delightful guitarist.

      11.30AM - 11.40PM: "A Comme Amour" by Bang.

On that note, we hope to greet all of you on Inclusivity Day.
